Step 3

Coconut rice is incredibly versatile and is used in cuisine all over the world. Made with different cooking techniques and spices based on regions, they take on different flavors and textures, but one thing is for certain: it is delicious and pairs well with many different foods. Coconut Rice can be served for brunch, dinner or dessert and everything in between!
For a savory dish, we suggest pairing this simple rice with a jerk chicken recipe or to serve with shrimp, for a sweeter version, you might enjoy coconut rice with a bit of sugar and fruit!
For this recipe, it is suggested to use Thai Jasmine Rice. However, if you use traditional White Rice, ensure you have the right cup of rice ratio for the coconut milk or water.
Our 4-ingredient version is made in a rice cooker, so you can get back to your daily to-do list or enjoying a minute of well-deserved ‘you time’. Simply combine the rice, preferably long grain jasmine, coconut milk, preferably full fat, water and a pinch of salt together in the rice cooker and let your kitchen gadget do the work for you! We say preferably for a few ingredients because if you only have long-grain white rice on hand, feel free to sub that in and if you prefer to use a lower fat version of coconut milk, that’s ok too. Adjust this dish to your needs and enjoy!
