Prepare your own homemade rice cereal puree made with real food like Carolina® Rice and water. Feed your family quality unprocessed meals, from adults to the littlest members.
Step 1
Rinse rice.
Step 2
Combine rice and water in a small heavy bottom stainless steel pot.
Step 3
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 15 minutes.
Step 4
Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes.

Puree with a hand blender or food processor until smooth.
Step 6
Serve warm or cold.
Once you master this recipe, to switch things up you can add in a bit of applesauce, yogurt or mashed banana.
If Puree is too thick it can be thinned with water or organic apple juice.
Rice Puree can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for 3 days.
You can also portion into an ice cube tray or muffin pan and freeze. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 month. Allow to thaw in the refrigerator.

So, what will you need to make your puree from scratch? This recipe calls for Carolina® White Rice, but feel free to use Organic White or even Brown Rice, depending on preference. For the liquid, we suggest filtered water or an organic juice like apple for just a bit more flavor.
