When you make fried rice at home, everything is stir-fried together with fragrant jasmine rice, sauce and seasonings so it’s the perfect opportunity to use up any leftover vegetables you’ve got and that last bit of those sauce bottles in the fridge. And, this version makes a great after holiday meal using up that turkey for a delicious recipe to use up Thanksgiving Leftovers.
Turkey: This dish calls for ground turkey, but feel free to swap in ground chicken or beef if you have that on hand or sliced leftover turkey!
Vegetables: Feel free to mix and match fresh or frozen vegetables that you’ve got such as frozen peas and carrots, a frozen Asian blend, or some of those steamed vegetables you had to accompany your meal with turkey.
Rice: For best results, we suggest using long grain rice like jasmine rice that’s leftover, as it will release less moisture in the pan making for a fluffier dish.
