Make your own Moroccan-inspired spice blend by combining ginger root, garlic, allspice and saffron or turmeric. Finish off your dish with squeezed lime juice and freshly chopped cilantro. For an additional Moroccan touch, add in raisins or chopped dates to the rice with the lime juice.
To give this rice dish the best texture, we recommend a long grain rice like Basmati because when cooked the granules stay separate without becoming compact. There is also a special aromatic flavor that Basmati Rice gives off when cooked that adds a nice additional flavor to the dish.
The best part about this Moroccan spiced chicken and rice dish is that you can make it all in one pot, meaning no piles of dishes to clean up later. Use just one skillet to prepare this dish!
