Creamy and comforting meals simply don’t get any better than this Butter Chicken with White Rice and Yogurt.
Step 1
In a bowl, combine the chicken with the yogurt, salt, and half of the spices. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until soft and fragrant.
Step 3
Add the marinated chicken and cook for 5–6 minutes, until lightly browned.
Step 4
Stir in the tomato puree, remaining spices, and heavy cream. Mix well and simmer for 5 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
Step 5
Heat Carolina® Ready to Heat Long Grain White Rice according to package instructions.
Step 6
Serve the butter chicken over the rice and garnish with fresh cilantro and an extra spoonful of yogurt if desired.
