Recipe Suggestions

Traditionally, Jasmine Rice is used in Southeast Asian cuisine such as Thai, but on account of its fluffy texture and fragrant flavor, it makes a great addition to a wide variety of other common dishes.

Try it in rice salads, rice bowls, oven-baked casseroles, soups or give any meal an international touch like Mango Sticky Rice, Korean Beef Lettuce Wraps, chicken and rice filled enchiladas or Spanish rice. The long grains also make this rice ideal for stir fries and fried rice dishes as the rice cooks evenly rather than clumping together.

It also makes for delectable desserts like rice pudding, milkshakes and even Mexican-inspired horchata.

Different Varieties

For a quality but quick variety, try our pre cooked Ready to Heat Rice which heats up in just 90 seconds!

If you’re looking to add more whole grains into your diet, try our Thai Jasmine Brown Rice which still has the bran and cereal layer intact. We’ve also created Premium blends of Jasmine Rice with Quinoa as well as Red and Wild Rice.

Jasmine Rice vs. Basmati Rice

While both are long-grain fragrant rice varieties, Basmati Rice is longer and tends to cook up larger than Jasmine. Thai Jasmine has a subtle buttery aroma and cooks up with a soft, slightly sticky texture. Basmati has a fragrant and subtle floral aroma that cooks up fluffy and a bit more separate. Make sure to check out our guide to different rice varieties for more information.

How to Make Jasmine Rice in a Rice Cooker

Preparing jasmine rice in the rice cooker is simple. You can use the same rice-to-water ratio as if you were cooking it on the stovetop, then sit back and watch as the rice cooker does all the hard work for you! Whether you want to make a side dish with fragrant jasmine rice or simply shorten the cook time of your favorite rice recipes, having a rice cooker on hand will save you time in the kithcen without skimping on quality or flavor.
