Our specialized Carolina® Long Grain and Jasmine Rice Blend combines two rice varieties in one for the perfect homemade fried rice dish. Using a blend of light and fluffy long grain white rice and aromatic Thai jasmine rice, it provides the optimum texture for cooking up stir-fries as well as a wide variety of other dishes.
At Carolina® Rice, we pour our heart and soul into making sure this product only uses Non-GMO Project Verified rice with no MSG or preservatives, for the most authentic rice experience. It’s Gluten Free Certified and suitable for both vegan and vegetarian diets alike.
When cooked, as both rice varieties are long grain, they stay separate allowing the rice to fry up evenly and without clumps. Ideally, the perfect fried rice dish uses rice that has been cooked previously and chilled before stir-frying.
To cook this blend: In a saucepan bring water to a boil and stir in rice. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until all water is absorbed.
Flavor Enhancer: Add olive oil and salt to the cooking water or use broth or stock of choice in place of water.
The first step to preparing your own restaurant-style fried rice dish is choosing the right rice variety. The long grains in this blend stay fluffy and separate when cooked so the granules toast evenly without clumping and the flavor is distributed perfectly for great taste in every bite.
Use this rice blend in all of your favorite stir-fried dishes from bacon or Ginger Pork Fried Rice to traditional Chow Fan Chicken Fried Rice. Add in sweet flavors like orange or pineapple and all kinds of tasty ingredients from miso to shrimp, tofu and all kinds of vegetables. Explore with confidence using Carolina® Rice.
While it may be crafted for fried rice, this blend also works perfectly in other recipes like rice pilaf skillets, rice salads, bowls, as a filling for stuffed peppers, burritos or oven-baked enchiladas. With aromatic grains, it’s ideal for a beef or chicken and rice dinner or alongside another meat-free alternative.
Of course, this blend can also be used in desserts like rice pudding, a hearty filling for sweet empanadas or cooked in creamy coconut milk and topped with mango for a dish of Thai sticky rice.
